Healthy Aging Consult

Helping You to Stay as Youthful as Possible!

It is inevitable that each and every one of us will age.  That is a given in life!  As time goes by our bodies are naturally breaking down and deteriorating.  Hormones are naturally declining, nutrients are depleted and excess stress over time can certainly accelerate things more quickly than we would like.  We can’t stop aging from happening but the good news is we can definitely slow it down.  Though it takes time, effort, discipline, financial investment and above all being proactive on your part for this to happen!

Some of the markers to consider when assessing healthy aging are the following:

  • Are you getting adequate and restful sleep?
  • Do you have a calm steady energy throughout the entire day?
  • Are you able to think clearly and quickly?
  • Do you have good exercise tolerance and stamina?
  • Are you feeling happy and stable?
  • Are you maintaining your ideal body composition and weight?
  • Do you have healthy skin?
  • Do you have strong nails and healthy hair?
  • Are you feeling run down and constantly need coffee or something sugary to get you through the day?
  • Are you the same height now compared to when you were 25 years young?
  • Are you pain free?
  • Do you have good quality and regular bowel movements?
  • Do you digest your food well? 
  • Do you have a robust and balanced immune system? 
  • Are you getting a cold or flu every year or suffer from any allergies or food sensitivities?
  • Are you free of illness?

We are not trying to make someone who is in their mid 50s twenty five again - but wouldn’t that be sweet if that was possible?  Rather the goal would be to provide support to our bodies and engage in health decisions and activities that will allow us to age more gracefully and be as symptom free as possible - and for as long as possible!  This way we can truly enjoy and live life to its’ fullest no matter what age we are. Whether you are in your early 30s and feeling run down or 55 years and better and wanting to regain some of the youthfulness you once had we can help you reach your goal!

If you are open to slowing down the aging process, motivated to improve your overall health, wanting to retire in great health or currently have some health concerns which are preventing you from enjoying life we can help you formulate a personal plan which entails the following:

  • Minimizing the use of pharmaceuticals.
  • Identifying any current risk factors (i.e. lifestyle, nutritional, stress etc.) that may be affecting the aging process.
  • Looking at possibly using bio-identical hormones as a framework to healthy aging if appropriate.
  • Reducing your overall toxin load.
  • Designing a custom supplement program to suit your needs to restore what your body may require for healthy aging.
  • Referral to any appropriate allied healthcare practitioner as necessary.
